How You Know It's Spring in Small Town Alberta

So how do you know it's spring time in small town Alberta.........Well, here's just some of the ways:
  1. The line up at Timmie's house is longer than usual..........it's Roll Up The Rim time again (not that I ever win anything!)
  2. The chuck wagon reports have started. Did you know they have to compete with each other to get sponsors, they don't necessarily keep the same one every year. Sponsors also openly bid on the chuckers
  3. There's alot more RV trailers out on the road
  4. The bikers are back roaring through town.......great..........15 - 20 of them at a time!!!!!!
  5. The ranchers are looking to hire boar seaman collectors and prairie oyster experts again. Anyone lookin' for a new and interesting career?
  6. The dust storms have started. You can see them roling across the feilds
  7. The local woman's clothing store has beach displays............wait a minute, there's no beaches around here!!!!!
  8. Gopher holes are popping up all over the place
  9. Fire bans are being put in place..........looks like it's goin' to be a dry summer..........
  10. The farmers are starting to hang fake prairie oysters from their trailer hitches..........at least I THINK they're fake...........WELL I HOPE THEIR FAKE!!!!!!!

Collecting boar semen and prairie oysters. Neither job looks too enticing, but the first one is definitely nasty.

Great list!! You left one thing out: the smell of fire is always in the air (grass fires)

Thanks for the interesting list. I fear that the image of boar semen collecting is going to haunt me for the day.
